David J. Tresley, M.D. attended Northwestern University where, as a member of the University’s highly select Honors Program in Medical Education, he received both the Bachelor of Science and M.D. degrees. Following the completion of medical school he completed an internship and specialty residency training in ophthalmology at the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center. During his residency training, Dr. Tresley served as Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. Dr. Tresley then pursued further specialty training, completing a formal fellowship in Retina and Vitreous Surgery at the prestigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard University.
Dr. Tresley’s reputation as an extraordinary surgeon is well deserved. He has been called upon to share his expertise through lectures and workshops presented in a wide array of medical education forums. Dr. Tresley is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Tresley currently serves as Chief of the Retina Services of the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and is a partner of the Chicago Eye Institute.
